Meet Creative Coaching

We are a professional coaching company dedicated to the growth and success of all writers, whether they are already published or not, and no matter how much knowledge they have in the art. Our founder, Emily De Silva, began this business because she wanted to give writers the support every writer should have, especially as they're starting out. As the beginner writer she was herself, she wasn't looking for masterclasses or course-driven "lectures." She believed writing was more complicated than that. "It takes more than just study of how to write well," she says. "It takes practice, patience, and dedication." Our coaches are mentors. We're here to support you in any way you need to complete your book with confidence. We give writers the tools to enhance their writing professionally, the courage to write particularly difficult scenes, and the encouragement to keep trying even when it's difficult.

We believe that every writer has the potential to succeed, but sometimes they might need a little guidance and support to do so. Rather than assign our clients structured course or reading material, we believe learning the art of language is not always so linear. Our coaching approach is focused on empowering our clients to identify their own strengths and weaknesses to overcome their challenges and achieve their goals.

We aim not to enforce the "rules" of writing but to guide you along the path towards a successful and enjoyable book. At Creative Coaching, we believe everyone is their own writer and has their own opinions and beliefs on what works well in the process of drafting a book, which is why we don't focus on teaching with autonomy, but rather, on guiding you with an open and holistic mind.
